How We Work
All families in Hamilton County Safe Baby Court have a child between birth and age 3. These children are removed from their biological parents at the start of the case for different reasons. Most cases involve parents struggling with substance abuse, but we also help families ranging from basic needs to parents dealing with mental health challenges. Children are usually placed in foster care or with family members when the Safe Court process begins.
The ultimate goal of the Safe Baby Court team is to provide individualized care for each family while maintaining a steadfast commitment to keeping the children as the focal point of all decision making processes.
By providing both judicial oversight and supportive services, Safe Baby Court aims to address underlying issues such as substance abuse, domestic violence, and mental health concerns that may be negatively impacting the well-being of children and their families.
